Cyclones - Homework Questions

(Q1) choose a natural disaster that can effect Australia.
Cyclones can effect many different people in Australia.

1.cyclones can destroy many homes.
2. which can end up in homeless people.
3.food prices go up.
4.people can die from hunger and thirst.
5. you can get blown away.
As you see cyclones can do many different things to people.

Q2) HOW DO CYCLONES OCCUR?

Cyclones occur over Warm Ocean. The sun heats the air and then it rises. It is then made into big clouds, and because of the spinning of the earths axis the air gets bent inwards and then it starts a big whirling wind. When the cyclone builds up it then starts to move. As the wind gets faster and faster the more dangerous it would be.

Q3. HOW DO PEOPLE RESPOND TO THE DISASTER?

After a cyclone has stopped people are relieved that the cyclone has gone . Some people can also be a little bit panicked because cyclones destroy houses and leave diseases which are a threat to life. A cyclone leaves floods which lead to less oxygen. After a cyclone people try to reduced their homes and get food to feed themselves.

Cyclones - justification

We think cyclones are the dangerous natural disaster because we live near warm water and we are surrounded by warm water .we are also a very hot country and that can cause cyclones .In 1974 cyclone Tracey hit Darwin and it killed 30’00 people on land and 65 people missing in the sea. That’s why we think cyclones are a very dangerous disaster.
